Making It With Allie - Teacher Totes

Hello all!
How is your summer?
We are loving the summer here!
I wanted to share with you the teacher gifts that we made for our school teachers.

We decided to make Teacher Totes
Every teacher I have ever spoken with has always said that they LOVE large carry-all totes.
The idea kind of morphed as I went along...
Do any of your projects run away from you, as mine tend to??
Anyways, I found some chalkboard fabric and some denim and went to town.
I was able to get my mother and her embroidery machine to do some beautiful applique that makes the whole bag "pop".
We used this bag as an opportunity to perfect a technique called "puffy embroidery".
I love how they turned out!

I downloaded a "chalk" font then used the Silhouette to cut out the names with Smooth Heat Transfer,
then ironed it onto the Chalkboard fabric.

Then I made each teacher a t-shirt with some bling!

Thank You Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Lanthier and Ms. Meghan!
