Making It With Allie – Featured Blogger – Me Sew Crazy

You guys!
It’s another addition of Making It With Allie and I am mixing it up a little this week!
I am SO excited to introduce you to a new friend of mine!
Her name is Jessica and she has and adorable blog called Me Sew Crazy!
I am telling you, you will not want to pass this blog up!
Hop on over and give her some comment-love, from me!

Hello everyone! I am so honored that Allie asked me to be a featured guest blogger on her site today. Can I just tell you, this is my first time doing this - YEAH! About 5 years back I found myself suddenly and unexpectedly living in Germany with a newborn, no friends and no understanding of the language. What was a girl to do?! I don't know where it came from, or how the seed was planted, but I decided it was time to teach myself to sew! Unfortunately, every time I tried to sew a straight line all I got was a tangled mess. That's when my Mom came into the picture (du du du daaaah - SuperMom!!!), one transatlantic flight and 10 minute lesson sewing lesson later, I was on my way. Teaching myself pattern after pattern (which wasn't an easy task considering they were all in German! Lol), I pretty soon figured out how to make little girl's clothing. And after 5 years of making them all for my 2 young daughters, I am now confident enough to say I have a good grip on how to put pieces together. I love to go shopping in a store, see something and say to myself - I can make that!
And what's better yet, I want to teach you how to make it too!!!
So what are we Making with Allie today? I give you the Braided Weave Belt... Have you tried shopping for belts for kids? You are lucky to find anything without rhinestones! Lol. After seeing these in the most recent People Style magazine, I just knew I could make them for my daughter! For your free tutorial to make your own braided weave belt, click HERE. My daughter is absolutely thrilled with hers... Thank you so much for having me Allie!
