Making It With Allie - Halloween Appliqued Quilt

Welcome Friends!
I am super excited for the party this week!
If last week's party you all participated in is a good indication of your awesome craftiness,
then this week is going to ROCK!

I am super excited to share the "BIG" project I have been working on in my spare time.
As some of you may know about me, I LOVE Halloween.
In these parts, I'm known as the Queen of Halloween...
I love to get into COMPLETE costume and decorate to Uber-spookiness.
I have had an idea for a table runner for several months now.
Well, on a very impulsive whim, I started designing a bunch of Halloween figures in my Silhouette Studio.
Well, I got a little ok,  lot carried away.
What was supposed to be an easy weekend project to cover my behind-the-sectional-table for Halloween, turned into a bit more than 83 working hours.
But, Boy! Am I very happy with it!
Dare I even say Proud of it??
I have had nearly every family member as for it to be willed to them, should I get hit by a pie-truck.
Gotta love family

So, here she is!

Each of these layered circles were cut with my Silhouette.
Each layer was blanket stitched.
Then the whole thing was quilted with my free-motion function on my sewing machine.
And as a final touch, each square was "dressed" up.
Have a look at each square:
This spooky cat has the most fancy collar on the block!
Some purple hotfix rhinestones did the trick for kitty.

Each little white polka-dot got an orange or brown hotfix.

Doesn't this mummy's eye nearly glow?!
Sewn on faceted flat-back rhinestone.

This happy witch wouldn't leave the house without her familiar, would she?
A precious owl for her.

The Silhouette was not happy cutting the lettering out in fabric...(grrrr)
But it meant that I was able to take a field trip to my favorite supply store,
Specialty-Graphics!
This place has the WIDEST range of heat transfer and vinyl and other supplies!
AND they have THE best prices!
I could live in this store!
You should go there and check them out! Just click here!

What specter could spook without glowing eyes?
Purple hotfix rhinestones helped this little guy out.

Do you know how you can tell girl bones apart from boy bones?
The girl bones are accessorized.

Frank likes his neck screws to be bright and shiny, so he got pewter hotfix rhinestones.

This couture bat got some glowing red  hotfix rhinestone eyes too!

So, I think you can see why am so thrilled with the end result on this quilt!
I hope it makes you smile and want to do a bit more for Halloween this year!

Now,  it's time for the
