Making It With Allie - Fall Table

Wow! Time sure does just fly by at this time of year!
It's Thursday already!
And that means its Making It With Allie!
For my submission to the party, I have one more addition to the Fall Decor at my house.
I have had this idea in my head about fabric leaves.
And making them with quilters fabrics.
However I was not looking to embroider them
-I wanted some texture.
So I cut out leaves and sewed them together, wrong sides together.
I used pinking shears for the edge.
Then I zig-zag stitched over 18 gauge wire cut to 8 inch lengths.
Then I zig-zag stitched over the remaining ends onto the edges of my burlap table runner.
The final touch was adding the ruffle on each end.
So, this is fall decor that is more my speed.

  1. Allie I love the leaves you have made, the warm colours with beautiful purples and maroons in there as well as the traditional autumn colours. We don't celebrate thanksgiving here, and it is getting on to summer, so my offering is about getting ready for summer!
